Jeremy Aylward from Sioux Falls is a finalist in the Men’s Health Total Guy competition!
Here’s why Jeremy says he should be the Total Guy:
“When I was 18, I underwent two open-heart surgeries to correct a congenital heart defect, so eating right and staying active is important to me. High on my list of must-haves: fruits, vegetables, protein, and dairy. I also try and hit the gym 3 to 5 times a week. I monitor my heart rate, but still work hard to push myself to new extremes. Currently I’m the director of business operations and a financial specialist for the USD School of Health Sciences Department of Nursing. I also work with a few nonprofit organizations: I’m the “You’re the Cure” advocate for the American Heart Association, raising thousands of dollars for my local affiliate over the past four years. I serve as a group coordinator for Mended Little Hearts of the Sioux Empire, a support group and educational resource for children and families of children with congenital heart defects, where I assist with fundraisers, educational events, and family gatherings. My fiancée and I recently finished building a home, and I’m very involved in the upkeep—I pull my weight in the kitchen, and with cleaning and laundry.”
The winner will win a trip to New York City, be featured in the pages of Men’s Health magazine and, of course, a year’s supply of Total cereal.
